GLC-SX-MM is a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver module manufactured by CISCO. It is designed to provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over multimode fiber optic cables. With a wavelength of 850 nanometers, it can transmit data up to a distance of 550 meters.The GLC-SX-MM transceiver module complies with the IEEE 802.3z standard and is fully compatible with Cisco equipment. It supports data rates of up to 1.25 Gbps and is hot-swappable, allowing for easy installation and replacement without disrupting network operations. The module also features a Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) function, which provides real-time monitoring of parameters such as optical output power, temperature, and voltage, ensuring the reliability and performance of the network.GLC-SX-MM is an ideal solution for campus networks, data centers, and other high-speed applications that require reliable and flexible connectivity.
